GENERALIST LEGAL SERVICE The Generalist Legal Service is available for initial advice and referral to anyone who lives in the Adelaide central metropolitan area. Ongoing legal assistance is provided to people on low incomes who are not eligible for legal aid. Generalist legal services are provided at two locations - Medindie Gardens and Pitt Street in the city. DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ASSISTANCE This state-wide service provides free legal advice, advocacy and assistance to people who have been, or may be discriminated against because of a disability. The term disability can relate to physical, sensory, psychological, scarring, disease, neurological, psychiatric, intellectual conditions. The act of discrimination can occur in many situations, such as employment, education, clubs and sport, request for information, access to premises, accommodation and land, and Commonwealth law programs. CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH LEGAL SERVICE This is a free state-wide legal service for children and young people under 18 years of age. The service is confidential and provides information, telephone advice, representation and referral. There are outreaches available at Marion Youth Service in Warradale, Shopfront in Salisbury, The Platform at Elizabeth and Streetlink in the city. |
